ECO CLUBS
With a view to educate and create awareness in boys and girls, Vanarai has established 1,500 Eco-Clubs all over Maharashtra. Each club consists of more than 50 boys and girl students. All these boys and girls have been taking great interest in protecting our environment. Vanarai aims at enhancing this activity to about 2,000 clubs in the next few years.

Through Eco-Clubs, Vanarai organizes many activities for building up tomorrow’s environment friendly generation. Each Eco-Club formulates activities to be undertaken at school level. Some of the activities undertaken by the Eco-Clubs are:
 
Tree plantations in the school premises and other areas as field trips.
Rain water harvesting.
Cleaning school premises and learning how to separate bio-degradable.
  and non-biodegradable wastes.
Establishing vermi-compost units at schools.
Cleaning the banks of Mula and Mutha every year after monsoon.
Awareness programmes about earthworm farming, reusing old clothes.
  and plastic objects, waste paper recycling, preventing air, water and noise pollution.
Drawing and essay competitions.
Rallies organized for spreading awareness about the environment.
